• Detached retina, glaucoma, kidney disease, high blood pressure
• Cardiovascular disease including angina, prior heart attack, or strokes
• Aneurysm of any kind
• Uncontrolled thyroid conditions
• Diabetes (any type)
• Severe asthma (mild–moderate asthma may be discussed; inhaler required)
• Epilepsy or seizure history
• Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or psychiatric conditions
• Severe psychosomatic disorders
• Recent surgery, stitches, or injury
• Psychiatric hospitalization or emotional crisis within the last 10 years
